Last year, more than 15,700 scholarships and bursaries totaling over $31.9 million were awarded to undergraduate students. If you have been admitted to Carleton for fall entry with an admission average of 80 per cent or better, you will automatically be considered for a renewable Entrance Scholarship at the time of admission. You may be offered a renewable Entrance Scholarship provided you are entering Carleton for the first time from high school or CÉGEP and have no previous attendance at post-secondary educational institutions. To be considered for an Entrance Scholarship, we must receive your complete application for admission and all required grades by June 15.
To be eligible for a Carleton University Entrance Bursary:
- You have applied and been offered admission to an undergraduate degree program at Carleton University for September.
- You are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
- You have demonstrated financial need and will be applying for government student financial assistance.
- You complete and submit the Entrance Bursary application, through the Undergraduate Application Forms system on Carleton Central, by June 30.
- Students who have not applied by June 30 may still be considered for a bursary by completing the General Undergraduate Bursary application for Current Students. The General Undergraduate Bursary application for Current Students is available as of September, through the Undergraduate Application Forms system on Carleton Central.
A Carleton University Entrance Bursary will provide you with additional funds and will help you meet the direct education costs of your first-year studies. An application is required. Deadline is June 30.
